About

I’ve been working in design for just about a decade now. I have experience creating 0 to 1 products, scoping projects with dense ambiguity and a track record advocating for usability on multiple scales.

Most recently, I was on Meta’s core ad design team, building products that millions of businesses rely on everyday, while supporting over a dozen teams across Meta’s family of apps as a lead design reviewer to ensure we were shipping quality products.

At the end of the day, I share a sentiment not uncommon in product design — I love to solve problems for people.

Experience

Outside of building digital products …

I’m building mugs. And bowls. And moon jars! There’s something about getting your hands dirty and spending time slinging mud on a wheel that really helps to reset and refresh your creativity. 10/10, would recommend. Check out what else I’m throwing these days!

a quick note

designbypol

Occasionally, and understandably, I get asked if “Paul” is spelled “Pol.” It’s not! But in contexts where certain sounds don’t quite translate (ex. Korean consonants don’t quite lend themselves to “Paul” rolling off the tongue), “Pol” has become a little more natural and accessible. It’s a small shift, but one rooted in making things a little bit easier and more inclusive — values I try to bring into my design practice, too. Plus, ‘Paul’ was sooo long to write out. You get it.
