What was my role?
As the founding product designer, I led E2E design across web, mobile and print, defined visual direction to building a cohesive brand and packaging system. I also implemented a data-driven design process by tracking conversions and iterating on web updates and email campaigns to improve key user flows and performance.

Omotenashi is the foundation of Takasan. This Japanese word translates to "hospitality" but means so much more. It’s the idea of caring for guests with personal warmth and meticulous attention to detail. At Takasan, guests can shop with ease in an experience that was designed and curated for them - the modern drinker.
Core principle
Sake Tastings
About a year in, we started and scaled a sommelier-led tasting experience that became an integral part of the business. I pushed out ad and email campaigns, built a custom web page to request a tasting, and all new print material to facilitate the session.
Some of the groups we’ve had the pleasure of hosting:
Meta, The Ritz Carlton, Dell, Intel, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Hypebeast, Cornell University, Tatcha
As of 2024, Takasan was sold, and some parts may not reflect the original design, functionality or voice. But the bones are there — check it out!
